Kay Charbonnet has been in the industrial wire rope and rigging industry for over 20 years.  She is a native of Ethel, LA where she grew up learning about farming, feeding cattle, pigs and chickens and planting potatoes - in short, she is no stranger to hard work.  As a teenager Kay's family left the country life behind and moved to Central, LA to attend school where she graduated from Central Private in 1986.

Upon graduation Kay enrolled in college at Louisiana State University to study marketing.  From there she has worked in the industrial field for Brown and Root, Georgia Pacific, Jacobs, and JE Merit.  Kay took a break from the industrial sector to focus on merchandising and marketing, but soon found herself back in industrial sales in 1995, and she has remained there for over 20 years.  In 2010 Kay left a company she had been with for over 15 years to go to work for Coca Sales, Inc. in outside sales, where she remains employed today.

Coming from a non-industrial background required a lot of hard work and a lot of research and hours of study as well as hands on application to learn about the products she would sell and more importantly the proper way to use them.  Throughout the years with the help of her peers, Kay has gained quite a bit of knowledge of rigging products and their applications.  From rigging/inspection classes to on-site inspections, it has always been very important to her to educate the customer on the products and make sure their safety is considered and made paramount.  With today's technology this blog is a way that she can spread that message even further.

Hopefully you all will find this blog to be informative and helpful when it comes to rigging and the multitude of products out there to choose from.  Kay's philosophy and her promise has always been to take care of the customer from the first phone call to the end of the project, and beyond making sure they get WHAT they need, WHEN they need it with safety always at the forefront!!
